The controls stink

I wanted to get a curling app, and this looked promising. The problem is the controls. I am not getting any rotation allowed on the stone, and many times the throw goes off before I am ready. The explanation with the game is pretty bad as well. While some of this is attributable to operator error, there is no recovery or no guide to help. My first few sides have not been enjoyable, because try as I might, the control is just not there.
