Curling3D is one of the best curling simulation games for one or two players. Similar to shuffleboard, the game is played on a flat ice curling sheet, roughly 15x150 feet. Players slide round stones of about 40 pounds towards bulls eye targets at either end. Two teammates may use brooms to sweep the ice in front of the moving stone. Curling3D is a follow-up to MaxNicks successful iCurling game, and adds a new dimension of realism with 3D rendering and on-screen players. Many user suggestions have been integrated into this new curling simulation.
Curling3D attempts to simulate the excitement of the game by incorporating many aspects of the actual sport. Fundamentally, curling is about force, mass, friction, momentum, rotation and collision. The app exploits the sophisticated physics engine built into the iPhone OS to generate a convincing simulation of all these elements as they interact. In the terminology of curling, the weight is the velocity of the stone; the turn is the rotation of the stone (which affects its trajectory); and the line is the direction of the throw or delivery. Curling3D allows the player to continuously and independently control all three, permitting advanced tactics such as the guard, takeout, and tap. In addition, the app allows the player to sweep the ice while their stone is moving, adjusting trajectory after the delivery.

But... Im Canadian? I cant be on the Canada team? Fix this!
Ive been looking for a good curling game for a while for pretty much every gaming platform and so far this one is the most fun to play.
Great graphics, good physics, easy to learn but hard to master (which is a good thing).
The sounds do get annoying, I would like to have the ability to turn off the Power Arrow noise but leave the rock and ice sounds. Maybe have 3 sound options? Music, Action, Aiming?
Would also like to see more customization with rocks colors as well as users. It seems one team always has to be green. Perhaps adding 3 users to the game with complete customizable team/rock colour options? And with each user, it would be nice to keep some personal stats ie: stolen ends, shot percentage, takouts, draws....etc.
Overall, almost a perfect curling game.
I am an avid curler from Sarnia, Ontario, Canada. I absolutely enjoy this game. The features and graphics are so realistic. I would highly recommend this game to all who enjoy the curling.
Physics are realistic. Computer strategy is OK. Only complaint is the free guard zone rule is set up wrong. In ne game, I hit a rock with the third rock of the end that was outside the house, but behind the tee line amd it gave me a rule violation. Free guard zone is only in front of the house to the tee line. Please correct in a future version. Otherwise, a great game.
I play curling and I found it realistic I would add more countries like Scotland more countries from around the world from different continents
Some bad moments
Instead of playing the game you spend all your time trying to decipher the controls. A nonsensical arrow that you drag with your finger but which gives no way of estimating how much weight youll actually throw. Rather than becoming about skill, you play a frustrating game of chance. "Will this seemingly random length of arrow put the rock where I want it or will I come up 30ft short? Maybe Ill blast it right through"
I have enjoyed this game but it has suddenly broken down. I am unable to control either the speed or direction of the curl. I am playing on an iPad. At this point I am ready to uninstall the game.
This game has potential, but needs a lot of work on the controls and physics. Theres no reliable way to properly aim or judge the weight of your shot. The 2nd camera window provides no useful information at all. Rocks that appear to be drifting toward the 12ft at the hog line suddenly take a hard turn and somehow wind up on the button. Very disappointing for the money.
The speed arrow for the rock is not good... And when throwing a rock with a small curl, it will overcurl big time. The changes from the previous version are horrible.
Save your money. No skip no broom no way to call line as you can not see the house when rock is coming down. Rotation speed Works opposite To actual play, Anyone who curls knows that less rotation on a rock will make for more movement. If you are a curler its quite likely you will not enjoy this game.
Was an excellent game until lately when rocks will do funny things, this game needs to be redone, its awful now
